Issues Draft Request for Proposals
for

The
contract is expected to be approximately $3 billion over six years with an
option for a two year extension. The
fee for the LW contract is expected to not exceed ten percent.
The
draft RFP describes the criteria DOE will use in selecting a LW contractor for
SRS. The draft RFP’s evaluation
criteria include the technical approach to accomplish the LW scope of work; the
proposed key personnel; the offeror’s risk management approach and
identification of key risks in the offeror’s technical approach; the
offeror’s approach to providing safety analysis work; relevant experience; and
past performance. DOE is issuing the
draft RFP in order to facilitate competition by providing potential offerors
with the maximum opportunity to provide comments on the draft RFP.
SRS
is a key DOE Office of Environmental Management (EM) industrial complex located

Responses to questions and other information about the draft RFP will
also be posted to the DOE e-Commerce website and the DOE-SR acquisition website. A pre-solicitation conference, site tour and one-on-one exchanges
will be offered to interested parties during the comment period.
